As in previous years, AIED 2007 offers students special opportunities for participation and support.
YOUNG RESEARCHERS TRACK
From AIED 1999 in Le Mans we established a
tradition of running a Young Researcher Track (YRT) during our
conferences. Usually, PhD students cannot write and submit a paper at
the early stage of their research; however, they can present the main
ideas they are currently developing and implementing and they can
benefit from advice and exchanges from senior researchers from outside
their lab.
The submitted papers are reviewed by senior
researchers. The accepted papers are presented during sessions that are
scheduled during the main conference, and feedback will be provided
during these presentations. The accepted papers will be edited in a
special volume and a twopage summary will be included in the proceedings of the main conference.
BEING A STUDENT VOLUNTEER
The success of AIED 2007 depends on its student volunteers and has for many years.
Each volunteer works for 5 hours, helping with various conference
management activities. You'll interact with the conference organizers
and presenters and meet other students from all over the world. More
information about the experience, the benefits, and how to register,
are provided on the Volunteer Information page.
ROOMMATE MATCHING
To defray the cost of attending the
conference, we are pleased to offer a roommate matching service for
students attending AIED 2007. Every effort will be made to match
compatible student attendees with one another based on preferences.
If you are interested in participating, please email the student
volunteer coordinator, Chad Lane (lane <AT> ict.usc.edu).
