Technology Transition

CAMERA is engaging in activities that address issues of transition to both developers and users.

By providing a test bed environment for multiple agents, we support technology transition between development team members. The synergism that develops from such an integrated effort could then be channeled in different directions. We will provide some of that transition ourselves by developing prototype applications in the domains presented in the evaluation plan. Additionally, other members of the program can also implement applications based on the framework or integrate into the framework.

Technology best transitions when there is a technical community ready to apply and extend it, and a user community anxious to receive it.  Thus, a key part of our effort lies in concept demonstrations that show user communities how our technology would make a difference if applied in their domains.  Our approach is to work closely with potential users to develop and refine demonstrations that capture the spirit of their requirements.  We have sought and received agreements of cooperation in this endeavor from key representatives of the Joint Strike Fighter Prograam Office, Marine Air Group 13 at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma in Arizona, and a number of commercial organizations.
