by the Digital Government Research Center, dg.o2000 is the first workshop
of the NSF's Digital Government (dg.o) program. Nearly 100 dg.o consortium
members, partners, academic and industry researchers, and other special
guests are expected to attend. The
workshop will include:
Presentations on cutting-edge research in emergent information technologies.
Panel discussions featuring experts sharing insights on Government
Policy, Social Impact, and Future Vision.
Practical
demonstrations of how advanced information technology can improve
government's digital interface with the public.
Special
tours to explore Digital Government projects in action.
Networking
receptions to promote partnerships among researchers and government
agencies.
Workshops begin Monday morning, May 15th, and run through early afternoon
Wednesday, May 17th. Registration
for non-academic participants is $200 for Government Employees, and
$500 for Private Industry and other guests.
