
Ann Cooper has been a research staff member at the University of Southern California's Information Sciences Institute for the past fifteen years. She is a pioneer Internet developer going back to the days of the ARPANET. She is currently involved in comminciations and network administration.
Ann Cooper administers the US Domain, including designing and managing the administrative procedures and guidelines for the US Domain. She develops and recommends organizational structure, to enhance the US Domain, as well as coordiantes the efforts of US subdomain adminstrators (network service providers, regional networks, state and local government agencies, K12, community college administrators, to name a few) in order to produce quality naming and continuity in all the states.
Ann co-authored RFC 1480 - The US Domain, RFC 1211 - Problems with the Maintenance of Large Mailing Lists, has presented several talks at conferences (e.g., IEEE, IETF) and written articles for the network community. In addition, Ann has prepared and contributed to the Internet Monthly Report (IMR) since its conception in 1981.
