Walt Prue is a member of the Research Staff in the HPCC Division of USC/Information Sciences Institute. He is the technical manager of Los Nettos, a regional area network providing Internet access to many large organizations in the greater Los Angeles area.
He has been involved in developing data communications software, designing, maintaining and implementing wide area networks such as Los Nettos, Corenet and Dartnet for 25 years. For these networks he has installed remote maintenance out of band access equipment for maintaining these networks. He is currently involved with upgrading Los Nettos. He is also working on installing CalrenII.
He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Eastern Washington StateHe is a member of the 1998 Catalina 37 National Champions. He is their fordeck crewmember. Walt was the Coronado 15 North American Sailing Champion for the year 1995. He has placed second and third in the North American Championships since then.
