Ultrawideband (UWB) Radio: an Overview and Discussion

Billy Brackenridge is an ISI veteran who received his computer education at the UCLA computer club and the MIT computer center, where he attended a class taught by Paul Mockapetris in 1969. He initially worked on the ARPA Speech Understanding Research Program in 1971 at the System Development Corp and came to ISI in 1978 where he developed voice and video conferencing. He also worked at the Voyager Company on multimedia interactive laser disks and CDROMs for Macs and Windows, and recently spent six years at Microsoft in the operating system group on USB audio. Billy is currently with Staccato Communications, developing a WiMedia compliant ultrawideband single chip CMOS radio.
