IP Security - an Overview of IPsec and IKE
Internet security exists at various layers in the protocol stack, including link (e.g., WEP), network (IPsec), transport (TCP/MD5), session (SSL), and application (SSH) layers. This talk presents an overview of the Internet network layer security protocol - IPsec, and its associated Internet Key Exchange (IKE) protocol. It covers both the architecture and basic implementation issues, as well as differences between the current versions and proposed ('bis') updates of these protocols. This talk presumes a basic knowledge of Internet protocols (IP, TCP, etc.) and IP protocol processing (forwarding path, etc.).
