Welcome to ARC 2013, the 9th International Symposium on
Applied Reconfigurable Computing

25 - 27 March 2013
Hosted by the USC Information Sciences Institute

Applied Reconfigurable Computing (ARC) Symposium

Reconfigurable computing technologies offer the promise of substantial performance gains over traditional architectures via customizing, even at runtime, the topology of the underlying architecture to match the specific needs of a given application. Contemporary configurable architectures allow for the definition of architectures with functional and storage units that match in function, bit-width and control structures the specific needs of a given computation. The flexibility enabled by reconfiguration is also seen as a basic technique for overcoming transient failures in emerging device structures.

The International Symposium of Applied Reconfigurable Computing (ARC) aims to bring together researchers and practitioners of reconfigurable computing with an emphasis on practical applications of this promising technology. This year's Symposium will have a series of international invited speakers who will express their views on the future of reconfigurable technology. The accepted papers will be included in the proceeding published by Springer Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS), ISSN: 0302-9743, which will be indexed by ISI Proceedings and EI-Compendex.

What's NEW?

Annoucements

This year's event included 7 sessions of regular and short papers covering recent work in the various topics in reconfigurable computing. The program also includes 2 invited presentations from industry, by Patrick Lysaght from Xilinx Inc. and Michael Flynn from Maxeler Corp. The PDF of their presentations can be accessed via the speakers link.

The advanced program is available at the symposium web page at the program's link.
