Conclusion
Our approach to knowledge acquisition:
- Build models of how knowledge is used in applications
- Use those models to guide users in knowledge acquisition
Three main thrusts in our work for HPKB:
- EXCALIBUR: enhanced framework for KBS development and maintenance
- LIBRA: support the initial phases of KBS development with tools for problem-solving method libraries
- SHERPA: an Acquisition Mediator for systems developed outside our framework
