In a previous message JK mentioned a potential problem with the way Any's are
encoded. I just talked to Ewald, and there is no problem. Furthermore, I
assume that JK is in sync on this one and everyone agrees there is no problem
here.
THe issue had to do with how numbers were encoded using a double.
