I think adding the extension to the object system API would be good, but I
have no idea how it looks.
I don't remember now if we have a method to retrieve objects based on string
names of the attributes, rather than based on the attribute key. If we do, we
could extend it to handle strings that encode qualified names. In your
example, you would be able to get to the subtasks collection from
Generate_Report, in one call.
Does this make sense? Is it similar to what you had in mind?
