[ns] Problems with blocking/unblocking a queue

hi,

This question has been previously asked but there has been no answers to it. 
I'd appreciate any help.

This is what I am doing>>

================================================
$ns duplex-link $n0 $n1 10ms DropTail
$ns duplex-link $n0 $n1 10ms DropTail
$ns duplex-link $n0 $n1 10ms DropTail

set q [[$ns link $n1 $n2] queue]
....
....
....

$q set blocked_ true
================================================

It does not throw any error but doesn't seem to work. I mean the queue is 
not blocked and there is traffic over the link even after execution of the 
statement {$q set blocked_ true}.

What am I missing? I'll appreciate your suggestions or pointers.
