[ns] Mobile IP in ns

I have a general and simple question that I've asked before but haven't
got a good answer for: I simply want to do some very basic Mobile IP
simulations in ns but I have not been able to do it.
I'm working with ns-2.1b7a under Linux (redhat 6.2) and I've tried to
run wireless-mip-test.tcl from the ~/tcl/ex directory but it does not
work properly (when the MN moves to a Fa from the HA the packets are
dropped).
Please don't tell me to get the mobility support by Perkins et al
(http://www.iprg.nokia.com/~charliep/mobins2/) or the mobility extension
to ns that can be downloaded from
http://www.icsi.berkeley.edu/~widmer/mnav/ns-extension/
because I've already done that and it still doesn't work (in the first
case I can't install it properly and in the second case I have the same
problem as before).
To all the people working with Mobile IP in ns: how did you make it
work? Am I missing something here? Please help me!!
