[ns] Reducing Tracefile size..

Hello everyone..

I'm running a few simulations  of a wireless ad hoc network over a time of 1500
secs simulation time and I'm getting a huge size of  the .tr file in the
process( around 50 MB or so..) I have turned mactrace option ON bcos i need the
information on the mac level for my analysis. Are there any ways to cut down
the
size of the tracefile? Can i direct the tracefile output to a pipe instead of a
file by setting some options in the simulation tcl file? Or are there any other
methods that ppl use to solve this size problem?
