[ns] nam dumping core

respected sir/madam
                
we have a problem with nam 1.b9  . 
   we ran one of the example files that comes along
with nam and exited nam (without any error) . it
worked properly the next time we ran nam , it gave the
error 
      segmentation fault  ( core dump )

we tried the following things 
1: we tried running other files . but the same error
persists
2: resatrting the system had n  effect
3 : reinstalling ns also did not solve the problem
4 : even the higher version if nam( b10) also gives
the same error
5 : checked the FAQ's available

please do give us your suggestions to solve this
problem.
