[ns] questions about TBF

Hello,all:
I have several questions about TBF(token bucket filter) :
1��What unitage are the variable bucket_ and rate_ in ns2 ? 
2��Who will input the tbf's queue(the variable qlen_)? traffic packet or token?
3��The network is:
    n0--n1--n2
  there is a exponential traffic to be sent from n0 to n2 via n1,i set 
tbf on n1,it work after running,but i can not see packets sent from n0 to n1 in 
the nam tool,only see packets from n1 to n2.why? is this phenomenon right? 
4��I'd want to send equally a packet at the same rate of the 
tokens(the variable $rate_) ,how to realize it? or how to set tbf's variables?
 
any help will be appreciated..
