[ns] ns validate error

Dear All,
I got error msg while running ns validate samples on win2000, see below:
D:\netsim\ns2\bin>ns test-suite.tcl tahoe1
warning: using backward compatibility mode
couldn't execute "rm": no such file or directory
    while executing
"exec rm -f out.tr temp.rands"
    (procedure "openTrace" line 2)

Any help are greatly appreciated.
