[ns] mcast protocol impl for ns2

Hi,

We are to develop a new multicast protocol for ns2, to enable us to simulate 
its properties.

Can anyone point us to a good starting point for how to develop a multicast 
protocol in ns2?

We have read the tutorial and understand how to make a simple unicast 
extension. But how to do multicasting? Seems to us, that it is hard to find 
any good documentation on this (have read the ns2 manual about multicasting).

Any help or pointers to similar work appreciated!
