[ns] Range of wireless node

hi,

how is the range constraint of the wireless node implemented ?
it looks like unless the gridkeeper is instantiated and nodes added to
it, in the script, the range constraint is not considered.

Looking at channel.cc where the packets are scheduled to other nodes, the
code checks if there is an instance of gridkeeper exists. if the
gridkeeper object in found, the neighbors of the node are calculated
based on the position of all the nodes and packets are scheduled to the
neighbors , otherwise the packets are sent to all nodes.

do I have to use gridkeeper even if the wireless nodes are not moving ?

is my observation correct ?

thanks

Gani
