SCOPE

The purpose of this workshop is to provide an international forum for the exchange of information on protocols for high-speed networks. The workshop will additionally focus this year on high-speed and high-performance optical, active, and wireless networks. Original research contributions are solicited. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to, the high-performance (high-bandwidth/low-latency) aspects of:

In the past, the workshop has been small (60 to 80 researchers). As a result, a considerable about of time is devoted to informal discussion. This year workshop will be limited to 100 participants.

INFORMATION TO CONTRIBUTORS

Prospective authors are invited to submit for review, unpublished original contributions (not exceeding 12 pages single spaced) which describe recent and innovative research results or developments within the scope of the workshop. The paper should be submitted in PostScript form (US letter paper format) to pfhsn99@isi.edu. No paper submission will be accepted.

PUBLICATION

Papers will be published as proceedings by Kluwer.

VENUE

The workshop will be held in Salem, MA, the week before ACM SIGCOMM'99, which is also located in the Boston area. The workshop will be held at an historic colonial inn. Various hotels at various rates will be proposed, in addition, within a short distance of the workshop venue.
