Just a quick followup. Indeed, the first "Internet" was in the
70s and consisted of the ARPANET, packet radio net (wireless),
and satellite network (wireless). Not to say that IP is entirely
hospitable to wireless, particularly TCP, but wireless has been
there since before the beginning.
