CNC, Guidance and Electronics Labs

At the Marina del Rey campus SERC has a bench top CNC Mill and Lathe that is in use for nanosatellite scale structures, and for components on the lunar lander prorgam. The CNCs are operated by students and able to take Solidworks CAD files and convert them through MasterCam into G-files for execution.

Inside the Guidance and Electronic lab there is a full set of simulation computers and code able to run both nanosatellite on-orbit simulations, as well as the lunar lander prototype flight segments. The lab uses both Simulink and MatrixX as simulation tools, and has a Labview interface for hardware-in-the-loop operations testing.
