The SERC maintains two ground tracking antennas for various satellite tracking projects.
The first is a Yagii antenna located on top of the Physics Building (SHS) on the main campus in Los Angeles. It has a complete 2 axis tracking system, and a seperate climate controlled room that houses the rotor controller, a desktop PC with software for both satellite tracking and receiver control, and a full RF receiver.

The second antenna is a 10' parabolic dish with customer feed horn assembly for various frequencies, that is located on a moveable trailer to allow the USC teams to move it to various ground locations to support sky coverage and inclinations. It has a 2 axis AlfaSPID rotor, and is controlled via a laptop onboard. Power is either supplied external or via an onboard generator, as required.
