Responding to impasses
======================

Soar's default knowledge for impasses provides minimal default processing for
every impasse that can arise.  Default processing falls into four categories
according to the type of the impasse and the object on which it occurs.  The
four categories are: (1) multi-choice impasses; (2) operator no-change
impasses; (3) goal, problem space, and state no-change impasses; and (4)
constraint-failure impasses.
