Hi, I am conducting a research in a similar area and I am willing to exchange my initial findings with yours. For the moment, I can tell you that, as per WWW sources I can suggest the use of Long-Range Dependent processes models (e.g. Pareto and Weibull distributions). For example, see http://cs-www.bu.edu/faculty/crovella/papers.html or http://www.cs.vt.edu/~chitra/docs/97webnet/ If you are interested in simulation instead, any commercial simulator has large libraries of applications and related communication protocols. I would be very interested to know more references in this field, as you get them.

Dear Colleagues,

Sorry in advance for receiving duplicate copies of this message

I' m looking for mathematical models for TCP/IP sources, for every possible service (e.g. WWW, e-mail ....). The thing, that would more help me, were generated (and received) traffic patterns of a single TCP/IP source.

Please send to me, through private mails, any references or results you can share.

Thank you

Carlo
