Description:

Abstract:
When asked, as a PhD student, what I wanted to do when I grow up, I had one and only one answer: academic-oriented, natural language processing research. In this talk, I will compare several academic and commercial research models and ground the comparison in examples derived from my own experience while working as a researcher for USC, Language Weaver, and SDL
