A series written on a trip to Kyoto, August 2007
"Winter's crisp puffs dust off slumber,
streets ringed with icy ashen monuments.
A stubble of trees stand post on the hill, even
the wind is gray.
Tonight's roar heralds a fresh coat for the old man,
quickly bleating the charge for its, and my, retreat."Joe Touch, Mar 1, 2007 (copyright 2007, all rights reserved)
