Gingersnaps

			     Gingersnaps

These are chewy, sweet cookies from a recipe of Gail's

(so I can't take credit for this one!)



Ingredients:

	3/4 c. Crisco- using another shortening will alter the consistency

	1 c. sugar

	1/4 c. molasses

	1 egg

	2 c. flour

	2 tsp. baking soda

	1 tsp. cinnamon (ground)

	1 tsp. ginger (ground)

	1 tsp. cloves (ground)

	

	some extra granulated sugar (2/3 c., approx)



Mix ingredients well. Roll in table sugar 

(any kind of granulated sugar works, including 'raw', etc).



Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes. A little less leaves them chewier.
