Visiting Research Assistants

ISI in Arlingtion, VA hosts Visiting Research Assistants from schools across the country. Visiting Research Assistants are typically Masters or PhD students and have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of research topics. Our Visiting Research Assistantship program gives graduate students an opportunity to get practical experience in a dynamic research environment and to work with our research staff while time in the Northern Virginia / Washington, DC area. ISI VRA program is most active during the summer, but ISI may hire VRAs at any time depending on project needs and student availability.

Experience gained at ISI in Arlington, VA as a Visiting Research Assistant may help a student with the home school research or in selecting a research topic or may broaden a student's perspective by exposure to a new topic.

Examples of past or current topics include: conducting performance analysis on cognitive algorithms for a new processor architecture, developing special-purpose architectures for algorithms of interest, developing software tools for emerging multi-core architectures, and developing novel implementations of algorithms for field programmable gate arrays.
