Abstract:
Tables are a pervasive problem in the real-world corpora
that are the focus of information extraction applications. Moreover,
they constitute a problem of significant linguistic interest. In this
paper we present a general method for recognizing and interpreting
tables in text, and describe its implementation in a particular
application.
