Abstract
This report documents the intent and use of a suite of programs for simulating the production of DNA restriction fragment data, as might from a biological laboratory doing work DNA mapping. This suite includes programs (a) creating a random strand of DNA, (b) random clones given a strand of DNA, ) taking a clone and applying a restriction to create restriction fragments, and ) creating a nucleotide map of how the related to one another within the DNA strand. Besides this software, there are a number of for introducing different forms of error (nre, nce) into the restriction produced, and aggregating and the clones in different ways to those with appropriate properties.Availability
