Description

Steplisptodis.exe uses the .lisp.name and .step.name files created by the the discourse annotation tool in order to create .dis files, which reflect the discourse structure of a text. In order to run this program, you need to

download the sun_os executable
create in the same directory with the steplisptodis.exe file a steplisptodis.ini file that lists the directory where the text, lisp, and step files are located, the directory where you want the .dis files to be created, and the list of text files (if filename is a text file, the program assumes that the corresponding lisp and step files are called filename.lisp.name and filename.step.name, respectively).
run the program by typing at the shell prompt the command steplisptodis.exe

Here is an example of steplisptodis.ini file:

In order for the program to run successfully, the TRAINING directory needs to contain the files listed under the heading [data-files] and the corresponding .step.name and .lisp.name files. (For example, the TRAINING directory needs to contain the files wsj_0600.out, wsj_0600.out.step.name and wsj_0600.out.lisp.name.)
