 Birkenau- Where the prisoners slept in queen size triple bunk-beds.  12 people on each level of the bunk.  People with the smallest numbers on their arms got to sleep on top, because they had been there longer.  Birkenau- Where they were allowed to use the toilet twice a day for 5 minutes. This place was amazing.  Salt Mines.  Some of the caverns were the size of VERY large houses.  One cavern had a lake with a boat in it.  Salt mines.  All floors and walls are made of salt.  All sculptures are made of salt.  You can lick the walls.  The air is supposed to be amazing for people with asthma or other breathing problems.  This is a cathedral 400 feet below surface.  EVERYTHING is made of salt!  Including chandeliers- it's huge!  It was created by 3 miners and took 68 years.  (The mines are about 900 years old.)
