Hello and welcome!
As a member of the
Natural Language
Processing group of the
Intelligent Systems Division
of the
USC
Information Sciences Institute
in Marina del Rey,
California, I am involved in fascinating research and
development, particularly in machine learning based parsing (English, Japanese,
Korean and recently also Chinese), machine translation and open-domain question
answering.
In May 1997 I finished my Ph.D. in
Computer Science
at the
with a dissertation in Natural Language Processing entitled
`Learning Parse and Translation Decisions From Examples With Rich Context'
under the supervision of
Prof.
Raymond Mooney.
