MASTERS IN THE CHAPEL 2011-2012
We're pleased to announce our new season that began with our participation in the
World Festival of Sacred Music, presenting Kitka Woman's Vocal Ensemble:
Saturday, December 3, 7:30pm to 8:30pm: David Brock on the King of Instruments
Touring organist David Brock will make a stop in Venice after a performance
at the Cathedral of our Lady of the Angels to ring in the holiday season
with a delightful hour of music performed on our state-of-the-art pipe organ.
The program will include organ chorales by J.S. Bach, Dale Wood and Marcel Dupré;
Concerto for Organ Op. 4 #3 in g minor by G.F. Handel, Chant de Paix by Jean
Langlais, and Pachelbel's Choral Trio and Fugue on Vom Himmel Hoch.
Saturday, February 25, 7:30 pm: Award winning violinist Danielle Belen
Ms. Belen will be joined by cellist Abe Feder for a Kodaly sonata, followed by a Strauss sonata for violin and piano.
Friday, April 27, 2012, 7:30 pm: A brass quintet from the Los Angeles Philharmonic
Members of the Los Angeles Philharmonic - James Wilt, trumpet; Christopher Still, trumpet; Eric Overholt, horn; James Miller, trombone; and Norman Pearson, tuba - will perform.
