Bio

As a senior project manager, Jana-Lynn Louis serves as the Head of the Research Project Management Services office at the Information Science Institute (ISI), spearheading the development of first-ever Project Management Office. She oversees project management implementation across organization, providing leadership, coordination, and management of PMO processes and functions. Additionally, Jana-Lynn assists in managing financial and administrative aspects of funded projects, including compliance audits and preparation of project reporting.

She comes to ISI from the Greater Washington Community Foundation, where she led the Fund for Children, Youth, and Families portfolio, a grant-making strategy established to invest in organizations working for the betterment of underserved children, youth, and families in the Greater Washington metropolitan region. Specific issue areas include housing-based service programs, foster care, and academic programming and career training.

Jana-Lynn previously served as a Management Consultant at HCM Strategists, a DC-based health and education policy consulting firm, where she managed education and engagement efforts for the National Institutes of Health on the value of clinical research and importance of precision medicine to communities historically underrepresented in biomedical research. She also previously served as a Senior Program Associate for the Clinical Effectiveness and Decision Science program at the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI), where she coordinated portfolio management activities as well as research initiatives in targeted clinical areas. In addition to a variety of internship experiences at organizations such as the National Park Service and the Personalized Medicine Coalition, Jana also held staff position with the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at John Hopkins University, where she worked on developing new immunotherapies for patients with pancreatic cancer.

Jana-Lynn holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Oakwood University and a Master of Public Health in Health Policy and Certificate in Public Health Marketing & Communications from The George Washington University.
