Bio
Dr. Valentino Crespi is a Senior Computer Scientist at the Information Sciences Institute at USC/ISI with 15+ years of experience in Machine Learning. His research interests include Hidden Markov Models, distributed computing, tracking systems, reinforcement learning, deep learning, information theory, combinatorial optimization, and computer security. Formerly a Senior Principal Research Scientist at BAE Systems Inc., Dr. Crespi was also a Postdoctoral Researcher at Dartmouth College and later gained a tenured faculty position at the Computer Science Department of the California State University, Los Angeles. Dr. Crespi has made several contributions to both academic and industrial research projects and has published a number of papers in prestigious scientific journals and conferences of Applied Mathematics, Computer Science and Computer Engineering. Moreover, he has been a key contributor to several DARPA projects including DARPA CHASE (still active) and BLADE Phase II (2012–2014)
