ns compiling problem

Dear ns users,

I am compiling ns-2.1b2 with other current packages on FreeBSD.
At final linking stage, I got the error message:

ld: No reference to __DYNAMIC
*** Error code 1

I am not using shared lib, c++ compile with -static option, what is
the problem?
