I might have forgotten to send this message out earlier;
ns2.1b3 is rather old, which explains the problems you are
having. Could you please download ns-allinone, rebuild ns
and check it out? I assure you that your problems should
dissappear once you upgrade your ns version.

All of the stuff that was in the script file is now placed
directly onto the trace file.
