Ns-v2.1b3 could not run namtrace-all command

Hi

 
 I installed ns-v2.1b3 and nam-1  together, but ns could not run any
script , including all the examples caming with the package, which
contains the command

$ns namtrace-all [open out.nam w]

and when ns read this line it exit ubnormally with this error message:
Segmentation faults.

Can anyone help me to overcome this problem.
