problem in tutorial..

Hi, i am a new user of ns..i was trying to gothrough the tutorial on
web..i wrote the example1.tcl script and run with 'ns example1.tcl'..an
error message is output.
.<shamid@aphrodite> ns example1.tcl
> ns: finish: couldn't execute "nam": permission denied
>     while executing
> "exec nam out.nam &"
>     (procedure "finish" line 5)
>     invoked from within
> "finish"

i am a user of solaris..i hv downloaded and installed ns 2.1b3 from
web....i run ./install..make and configure  after downloading..configure
says..tcl is not completely installed...i hv checked the permissions of
nam files under nam-1..all hv execute rights now..

can u plz..help me out..
