Newbie has questions

Hi,

I am really a newbie, so please don't laugh at me.

1) I installed the NS successfully and passed all validation tests. After
finishing the installation, it said "please compile xgraph separately" &
"please compile gt-itm & sgb2ns separately". What are these packages for?
Do I really need them?

2) I could not run the examples by using nam. It generated errors like
"unknown event at offset 21 in out.nam" and the line in out.nam is "V -t *
-v 1.0b6 -a 0". I used to thought it was because of version control, but it 
didn't work either even after I deleted the line. After checking the "bug
fixes" page, I downloaded the daily snapshot of nam. Now I don't know what
I should do next? Delete old nam and replace it with the new one?

3) According to the ns notes, the full tcp is still under development. Can
I use it to do experimental work? Is it safe?
