Either the file was corrupted or not fully downloaded.  Try dowloading again.

I have problems when 'gunziping' the ns-file:

    ns-allinone-2_1b3.tar.gz  (release 14-july-98)

with error-message:

    gunzip:  ns-allinone-2_1b3.tar.gz:  unexpected end of file

I got this file from www-mash.cs.berkeley.edu/ns.
