Linux (RedHat 5.2 on x86) is one of our development platforms, so
basic ns works on it.  Unfortunately the network emulator requires
more OS support and has only been tested on FreeBSD.

We'd be happy to offer some assistance (advice mostly at this point)
to someone wanting to make the emulation facility more portable.
