Juana,
This is a typo.
Try replacing sendtarget with down-target and recvtarget with up-target.
i.e, in ~ns/tcl/lib/ns-mobilenode.tcl's lines 271/272 & 278/279
replace line
	$mac sendtarget
with
	$mac up-target
and do the same with downtarget.
