How to get average, variance of delays of a Queue

Dear NS-gurus,

I am wondering if someone can help me in getting the following:

Queue statistics: average delay, delay variance/jitter of an individual
queue.

is there any code already existing in NSv2 ? or
it is what left to the users to write their own code
for this purpose?
