installation problem.
Hi,
I am trying to install ns-allinone-2.1b5a on a IBM RS 6000 machine.when
i type " install " i get the following error message:
/usr/bin/install[49]: ./configure: 0403-006 Execute permission denied.
tcl8.0.4 configuration failed! Exiting ...
I realised that "configure" file in the /tcl8.0.4/unix directory didn't
have execute permissions. so i changed the permission of "configure" to
execute also along with read and write.I also changed the directory
permission of "unix" to execute(I guess this is not required).But when i
do that i get the following error message:
[weibull:root] install
/usr/bin/install[47]: ./tcl8.0.4/unix: not found.
/usr/bin/install[49]: ./configure: not found.
tcl8.0.4 configuration failed! Exiting ...
I guess the above error message says that "configure" file is not
found.But the file is in the right directory.
Can anyone help me with this problem?????? your help will be greatly
appreciated.
