transfering files of given size

Hi everyone,
	Could anyone tell me how to simulate transfers of files
of a given length using any protocol in ns? for example, how do
I simulate the transfer of a 10KB file usint TCP in ns?

	Also, how do I introduce error probabilities into the links?
For example I have two nodes connected by a link or connected through
a router. How do I introduce random packet losses between the two
nodes?

	Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks,
