In nam there is no way to *dynamically* (i.e., at or after time 0) create
or delete links. However, if you are doing wireless simulation you are
able to do that. 

You can define nam*background in your Xresource and then you can match it;
the default background is gray80, as defined in tcl/nam-lib.tcl.
