Ns intallation problem in RedHat6.0

Dear ns-users,
 I'm a novice of ns. When I installed ns-allinone-2.1b5 in RedHat6.0 in
my Pc, I failed to make ns. The c++ compiler reports "misc.o: file not recognized: File truncated". And when I use the command of "file" to show the attributions of misc.o, the result is "misc.o: ELF 32-bit LSB relocatable, Intel 80386, version 1, stripped".Did anyone met such a problem? Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
